“Grazie, Italy!” – a series of cultural events, at each of which a charity concert is held with the participation of Ukrainian, Italian and foreign singers. Ukrainian pop stars perform not only Ukrainian, but also world-famous Italian songs. All proceeds go to support children and families affected by Russian military aggression.

The initiative “Grazie, Italia! / Thank you, Italy!” – a sign of gratitude from Ukrainians to Italians. Today, Italy provides unprecedented support to the citizens of Ukraine. Many Ukrainian families from the most affected regions – Donbas (Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Mariupol), Kharkiv and Kyiv regions and other regions – found protection in Italy. Ukrainians received not only large-scale humanitarian aid, but also the full support of both representatives of the Italian authorities and ordinary Italians.

In general, since February, Italy has taken in about 120,000 Ukrainian children and mothers forced to flee the war in their native country. All this is an invaluable help in our difficult time. The two countries have become closer than ever before.

Solidarity charity concert “United for Peace”

The solidarity charity concert “United for Peace” was held on July 31, 2022 in the city of Pineto, Abruzzo region. Since March 2022, this Italian town has hosted about 10,000 Ukrainians who fled the war in Ukraine.

As part of the charity evening, funds were collected for the “Mother and Baby” charity organization, which for many years in Ukraine has been helping and supporting mothers of children with physical or mental disabilities and which has been working in Italy since the beginning of the war, helping many Ukrainian refugee families in a difficult situation.
